The bazooka tube screen is an ideal hop strainer in boil kettles that have diameters longer than 6inches. It can be used to convert a simple brew kettle into a mash tun so that you can extend its use during the lautering and sparging process.It can also be used to filter the wort in a counter flow chiller.The mesh is made by weaving 16 small stainless steel wires every inch to create a 0.45mm2 area for each individual square. This effectively strains the wort from sediments and pellets.To avoid clogging the mesh, using whole hops is recommended.
